Chestnut Oak Lavender-PP, 38 inches at one year, A2A2 BB BB

Lavender was born on our farm when we were boarding her dam. We thought she was one of the most beautiful Mini Jersey calves we had ever seen, so when the opportunity to purchase her as a yearling heifer came up, we were very excited to add her to our herd. Lavender’s personality is a bit more reserved like her dam, but with time and treats she comes around. She especially likes alfalfa pellets!
Lavender’s pedigree is predominantly Chestnut Oak Minis, a herd that descended directly from Holterholm and Misty Morning Farm cattle. Both bloodlines of small Jersey cows she comes from have been bred for grazing, A2 milk, polled and smaller stature. Holterholm cows average 6,000 pounds per year (2.42 gallons per day), 5.2% butterfat and 3.8% protein.
Lavender is a heifer born in February 2024 and we plan to breed her during the summer of 2025 for the first time. Her teats are all pointing straight down and seem to have the extra long length that her dam’s teats have; great for hand milking!
Lavender is registered with the American Jersey Cattle Association (AJCA).
