We’re expecting puppies in April!

We are thrilled to share the news that we’re planning a litter of our naturally reared Great Pyrenees livestock guardian puppies, for the first time in four years.
Our dogs are the heart of what makes our farm possible, allowing us to raise all of our animals without fear of constant predator loss. Puppies born here are raised outdoors with the livestock they protect and are nourished by a species-appropriate, raw (meat, bones, organs and natural vitamins/supplements) diet, just like their parents. We are committed to preserving the outstanding health, gentle, child-friendly temperament, and guardian instincts that make this breed “worth their weight in gold” to homesteaders and farmers.
This planned breeding is one we’ve thought about for a long time, and both parents are second-generation naturally reared. Over the years, we’ve found that how we raise our dogs really does show up in their long, healthy working lives. For example, last year our 8.5 year old guardian caught a hawk in the act of trying to kill one of our chickens. He still moves with the same quick and powerful gait he had as a young dog!
Besides their agility, we also notice benefits like thick coats, strong teeth, and healthy digestive systems in our dogs. Watching them work and play is a daily testament to the resilience of bodies raised using the principles of natural rearing.
We will share more details about the planned pairing and anticipated timeline in the coming months. If you are considering adding a livestock guardian dog to your land, we encourage you to review the information below and fill out our puppy interest form.
